Hello! I am a clinical psychologist currently working in San Diego, CA. Originally, I am from Chicago, IL. I completed my Bachelor's degree in psychology at Northwestern University and my doctorate degree at Roosevelt University. I have received specialized training and experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I have worked with clients of a wide range of clinical presentations at outpatient community mental health clinics and neuropsychology private practices. My predoctoral internship was at the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health working with patients who had severe and persistent mental illness. I completed my postdoctoral program at Palomar Medical Center on the adult and geropsychiatric inpatient units and also at a private practice that specialized in DBT. In addition to my private practice, I also work at a DBT Intensive Outpatient Program working with adults who present with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and emotion dysregulation. Often I help them with improving their communication with loved ones, increasing awareness of their own emotions/thoughts/behaviors, and building coping skills to manage distressing situations.
I love spending time with my dog, crocheting, exercising, completing 1000+ piece puzzles, watching (too many) movies and TV shows, and finding new ramen and boba spots. Recommendations are welcome!
